Emirati women and workforce
in a clash of culture
The conflict of this article is that many women who are an
Emirati are keeping themselves out of the labor force and they should limit
their careers even if with the development of the UAE. The main problem in the
article is that some of families in the UAE are following the traditions and
not make their daughters to work in the same workplaces with men because it is
shameful and related to their manners and it will affect the family's
reputation. Moreover, behind the conflict that related to the locals in the UAE
in the side of cultural view of honor/shame while in the others like the expats
is innocence/guilt. Finally, there are many solutions we can do it for those an
Emiratis’ women to solve this conflict is to educate their parents and aware
them about how the daughters can help their country to develop and they will
help the community to improve and the work place can offer for them special
place without communicate with men.
My
worldview
My worldview is base on three factors, which are Honor/Shame,
Innocence/Guilt and finally Power/Fear. Honor and Shame is the extreme factor
that effect on my world view because it is will effect how we and I can see the
world. Then, the Power/Fear influence me, and last is Innocence/Guilt.
